Ewa Rudnicka
linguist and professor at the Faculty of Artes Liberales at the University of Warsaw. Her scientific and research interests lie in cultural linguistics, lexicology, lexicography and semantics, as well as Polish language culture and the development of normative thought in Polish, taking the cultural context into account. She is also interested in the psychology of interpersonal relationships and issues of neuroatypicality.
She obtained her doctorate in the humanities in 2003 based on her work on the metaphorical meanings in the context of the Polish dictionary tradition. In 2018, she was awarded a habilitation in linguistics based on her work on the dictionary as a text of culture and cultural factors in lexicographic practice.
She has worked as an assistant professor at the Institute of Polish Language at the University of Warsaw, the University Language Clinic, and the MISH College. She has been associated with the Polish Literature and Language Olympiad for many years, serving as a member of the Main Committee.
