Indigenous Identities and Resilience in the Americas: Cross-Disciplinary and Self-Reflective Approaches Indigenous Identities and Resilience in the Americas: Cross-Disciplinary and Self-Reflective Approaches is a scientific and cultural event that explores and spotlights the complexity of approaches to studying, understanding and performing the identities of the Indigenous peoples of the Americas and their resilience, in both historical and contemporary perspectives. The participants will include Indigenous and non-Indigenous researchers, activists, writers and artists, achieving a multiplicity of voices and perspectives and emphasizing self-reflective and decolonizing approaches. The thematic contents will span North, Central and South America, combining archeological, anthropological, historical and linguistic studies and bridging the boundaries between research, art and socially-engaged activities.
The event is organized jointly by the Polish Society for Latin American Studies, Center for Research and Practice in Cultural Continuity of the Faculty of “Artes Liberales” and the Faculty of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw as well as the Americas Research Network.
