will take place on

Multilingualism and biodiversity are deeply rooted in the political, social and cultural history of Thailand. This interdependence is reflected in the preliminary results of the field work research carried out in cooperation with the Akha, Dara-ang, Karen, Mlabri and Urak Lawoi’ community representatives from Northern and Southern Thailand in 2023. The aim of this lecture is to present the research results from the project “Interdependence of multilingualism and biodiversity in the Chiang Mai and Satun provinces in Thailand” based on the collaboration with Prof. Sumittra Suraratdecha from the Mahidol University (Thailand).
